McKenzie's First District Convention

We had a wonderful time with our family and friends at our District Convention in August.  The girls were great for all three days of the program.  They looked so cute in their matching dresses each day! 

It's been awhile!

It's hard to believe it has been over a year since my last post!  Time moves at warp speed with 2 sweet little girls.  McKenzie Kathrynn Dove was born on 10/19/11 (7lbs 12 oz and 19 1/4 inches) and is now 10 months old.  McKayla loves being a big sister and McKenzie adores her big sissy. 

McKenzie is getting her first tooth - at exactly 10 months just like McKayla did and is starting to walk.

McKayla loves swimming, gymnastics and of course her absolute favorite - horses!

Dallas Zoo Adventures

McKayla and her best buddy Ethan (who she calls "Ethie") have enrolled in several of the Dallas Zoo Classes. The first week was at the Aquarium where they got to see all sorts of fish and touch the Stingrays. The second week was the Owls - which was a very neat animal to learn about and after class we enjoyed the Petting Zoo, her first pony ride and finished off at the Carousel (of course she chose the horse on it). We are looking forward to our next class in a few weeks - which is about Rhinos.

Snow Days in Dallas - February 2011

McKayla loved the snow days which meant "No School"! We were off 4 days one week and then got one bonus day the next :) We spent lots of time getting bundled up and playing in the snow. She enjoyed sledding down the hills on a cookie sheet - priceless! Needless to say we also spent lots of time doing "Art" at the kitchen table and snuggling and watching movies.

McKayla's 2nd Adventure in Vegas - Jan. 2011

McKayla loved the bright lights and the constant activity in Vegas. She enjoyed our daily walks and rides on the train. We visited the M&M store, got a front row seat at MGM to watch the Lions eat their breakfast and even got her picture made with a Lion cub (to be posted later - Mommy still needs to scan).
