McKayla's school celebrated the arrival of the 1st day of Spring in 2009 with a parade.
All of the kids wore special hats created in their classrooms and then proudly
displayed these as they circled the parking lot.

McKayla for some reason thought that the rug was a good place to take a nap!
Aunt Marilyn brought another great toy for McKayla, this one is a frog that looks like Kermit and sings "My Girl" and of course was instantly loved by all.

Princess for a Day
McKayla turned 1 on February 20th! She received a perfect report at her 1 year checkup with Dr. George and is now 29 inches and weighing in at 20.4 lbs. Now that she is a big girl, it is time for her to graduate from the Infant room with her beloved teachers and move to the Young Toddlers room. We had a proper princess send-off party for her today at school with a tierra, mini chocolate cupcakes and apple juice. While I know she will miss her teachers, she is ready to move on up with the "big" kids. She has already visited them a few days and enjoys playing outside and enjoys story time with them. McKayla is adjusting much easier to this than her Mommy.
